"If one can learn to listen correctly, he has learned the deepest secret of meditation." Feeling the inner silence is a deeply transformative experience. The mind stops, and with this cessation the personal, temporal and spatial dimensions cease to exist. Then it is possible to glimpse a new dimension previously only intuited. Authentic silence is internal and is born from our soul. It flows all the time without ceasing like fresh spring water. So, even if you speak, think, cry or laugh, project yourself into your emotions or are immersed in action ... there is always silence. It is just a matter of knowing how to capture it, of connecting with it. Enjoy this present moment, the silence, your existence.
Have you ever stopped to listen to silence? The Silence is always with us and is more important than we imagine, there is never a complete emptiness, there is always something, even if it is imperceptible to our senses or we cover it with our constant mental noise
Right now, for example around you, apart from the place where you are, its furniture and its decoration, there exists between them and you millions of particles that we are not able to see in air, it is space between things and you is vital
Reflect on the following: What makes a room useful, the walls or the space between them? This phenomenon is perfectly explained by Eckhart Tolle in his book "The Power of Now", which I recommend you to read not once but several times
Even when you listen to music the sound of the silence accompanies you
Today I invite you to listen to it attentively, look for it in everything
moment of the day, when you listen to music, when you are driving outdoors, before going to sleep
You will see that it's a very subtle, high-pitched, really noticeable frequency, but as we hear it all the time, we have silenced it, we are used to not being aware of it
In total silence we will find peace
within ourselves, silencing the mind, letting the thoughts pass and concentrating
in the silence that always accompanies us
Let's do a small meditation to accompany the silence
in which the breath will be something special
It's a very powerful yogic breathing, known as as pranayama or ayi, it will help you to develop your lung capacity, to relax your nervous system
and to combat mental fluctuations favoring the state of concentration
You will feel an increase in your energy after this exercise and an overwhelming inner calm
Before you begin, I want you to know where your glottis is, it's an opening that's in your larynx
and you can contract or relax it as you wish
When you breathe out through your nose you can practice contracting it
and loosen it and you will notice how it emits a characteristic sound, like a kind of inner sigh
Sit comfortably with your back erect and your feet and hands in complete rest
Close your eyes
Start breathing at your own pace bringing the air into your body through your nose and releasing it gently through your nose
Gradually do the exhalation to take twice as much time as the inhalation, inhale in 2 seconds and try to exhale in 4 or if you prefer inhale on 3 and exhale on 6, as you feel more comfortable
Now open a small space between your lips and let the air come out through them very gently, as if you have a space in front of your mouth
and you want to fill it with mist
Do the same now but exhaling through your nose, with the intention of fogging the mirror with the hot air coming out of you
Try now to close your glottis and to emit a continuous sound while you expel the air with your exhalation
Gently, relaxed, connect with yourself
Keep breathing and freeing yourself from worries, fears, emotions
If any thought comes, let it flow as the clouds flow, let it pass, without judgment, without anger, just let it be and say goodbye
Concentrate on your breath
And now, bring your attention to silence
Are you able to distinguish it? Inhale and take to your body the silent energy of peace and harmony, of purity
Exhale and take out of your body all that you don't need, free yourself from burdens and sufferings, this moment is for you and it is perfect
Little by little you're getting up and moving
your toes, your fingers, your wrists, your shoulders, opening your eyes, What did you think of today's meditation? I hope you found it helpful
help and of course the practice is often, listen to the silence and give yourself those moments so special, so essential, you deserve it
Thank you very much for following, until next time and happy present moment
