Live more slowly, that's all. Put the brakes on now that we can and rethink our way of living to do it with more awareness for the rest of our lives. Why? Because it is not possible for us to spend our lives longing for happiness that never comes, when the reality is that we are already happy and what happens is that we cannot see it. We spend most of our time complaining about not being able to do the things we want to do, but it turns out that when we have the ability to do them, our mind flies elsewhere and we don't fully enjoy those moments. We focus only on everything we do not have, what is not given to us, the time we do not have and from Conscious Television we ask ourselves what if we put the focus on what we do have and forget for a second what we do not have has it arrived yet? In today's session we suggest that you live a full day with mindfulness, from the time your alarm goes off until you go to bed. We would like you to offer yourself the opportunity to understand that days are not as routine, crazy and fast as they seem. Wonderful things happen, what happens is that they are invisible to our racing mind. Magic happens every day, open your eyes wide to see it.
An American photographer I admire once said: "I am a collector of moments and I live in fear of missing one
" This man made an image every day in a specific place
and he took many, many pictures at the same location but at different times
The result was wonderful, it was like taking a picture of the weather
Incredible colors and lights that captured
The main problem we usually encounter is that we let our day-to-day go unnoticed, attending to our responsibilities
We wait for the clock to tell us that it's time to do something
or the calendar tells us that a new month has passed
We lose focus of what is happening in the present thinking about what is to come or what has happened
and in the meantime we melt in the most monotonous tasks submerged in our thoughts or worries
I propose you something, exercise your mindfulness in your most routine tasks, for example: When you wash your face in the morning, stop for a few seconds before doing it, take a deep breath, look into your eyes in the mirror, recognize yourself in it and when you catch the water with your hands feel it
Observe all the sensations that appear when you bring the cold water to your face
When you dry yourself with the towel appreciates the textures, smells, temperature, the droplets that remain in the sink, how they fall, how they move
It will take you only a few seconds and it will make a difference
Another opportunity you have to practice mindfulness on a daily basis, is while brushing your teeth
Pay attention to details, how you spread the toothpaste on your toothbrush, what sensations you have while you pass it through your teeth, the taste of the toothpaste
Take your practice beyond the extraordinary and utilize your ability to attend to the present while you do the dishes, while sweeping the house or doing the laundry
Use your senses, feel with your hands, observe with fascination what happens, appreciate the aromas
Do not let any of these moments escape you and live them intensely, are part of your daily life, don't take things so seriously and play like a child
Enjoy the magic of every moment no matter how routine it may seem to be
Rediscover life with the desire to surprise you, to fascinate you and to be aware
Happy present moment
