Normally we are used to live anchored in what happened to us or thinking about what we have to do
We want the weekend to come, summer or winter vacation and we worry about something we will do later, which gives rise to anxiety
We talk about past disappointments, we long for the old days
or we think about a conversation we had the day before with someone and that sometimes will result in depression
We forget to live in the now because we occupy our mind projecting forward and backward, overlooking what we live, feel and think in this very moment
That's why this episode is very important and I want you to take away from you all distractions to follow the exercise with me
that I have prepared
Once again turn off your cell phone, find a quiet place in the house and make yourself comfortable because we are coming start right now
Sit with your feet comfortably on the floor
but trying to keep your back straight even when resting
Pay attention to your breathing
Don't try to control it, do it at your own pace, relaxed, without rushing
Observe how the air passes into your body gently through your nose and how it fills your chest
Now let's draw an imaginary line in the mind, horizontally, going from one side to the other
Imagine that this line is your life and this moment, the present, is situated in the middle, right in the center of that line
Everything to the left of that point is your past, everything that happened to you as a child up to the moment you are listening to this now
Breathe calmly and go through that part of the line remembering everything you have lived
Now take an imaginary pair of scissors and cut that part of the line in sections
Visualize how you cut it into small pieces, let them fall into a box just below, each episode of your past life is falling, gently, like a paper that flies lightly
They're falling into that box as you cut little by little
When you have cut everything, close the box, you feel wonderful, breathe calmly
Now go back to the line and take an imaginary eraser
Slowly erase in your imagination the right part of the line, that is to say, everything you think about
what will happen after this episode, what you think is going to happen tomorrow, what you have to do the day after tomorrow, what you think is going to happen the day after tomorrow, what you think is going to happen tomorrow, what you have to do the day after tomorrow, what you're looking to do next month, next month, next year, next year, and the next and the next
Erase all that part of the line that belongs to the future and when you have achieved it, take a good breath of air
and blow long and softly to remove all the remains of the eraser
Now there is only one point in your mind, it is this precise instant, the now
Put your hand on your chest and feel the beating of your heart
You are alive and that's a gift, the present is the only thing that exists, you have the decision of to feel good in this moment
Breathe consciously and place the point that has remained in your chest, in your heart, inside of you
Make it light up with the help of your imagination, little by little give it more and more brightness, increase the brightness
its size, that light makes you feel good, it reminds you that you exist and constantly have the ability to shine in the present
No matter what it was, no matter what it will be, now everything is perfect
Expand that light from this point in your chest to the rest of your body and from there make it come out of you, to surround you, to cover you and accompany you always to remind you that you live in the present
Now is the only thing that exists, live it consciously
Practice this exercise as many times as you want and remember that from now on you will always carry with you that point of light in your heart to bring you to this feeling of well-being and fullness
