11 Visualization of the doshas

Visualizing the Doshas is an enriching meditation designed to harmonize each of the doshas. For this session you just have to sit comfortably with your eyes closed and bring attention to your whole body. Let the meditation happen.

So we close our eyes, we sit comfortably, we bring the tension inside, we connect with the breath and we observe or start to become aware that even though we are sitting quietly, within us continuously, there is movement

The circulation of the blood carries nutrients from one place to another

Our thoughts are continuously fluctuating in our mind

Probably the food is still being digested, there is a movement of the digestion of the food inside you, moving through the digestive tract

So in this movement, in these forms of movement within us, we can recognize the vata principle

Then, we can become aware, I know that even though it may have been a few hours, still, your metabolism is digesting the foods from your last food intake, those foods are being absorbed by the colon

Inside of you if there is an internal thermostat that regulates the temperature of your organism

There is also a function that regulates the pigmentation of your skin

and also the visual digestion of the images, probably the images of yesterday, from a previous moment, are still being digested, attributing meaning to them

So all this transformation that is going on continuously in your organism, from the food, from the images, from the experiences

it's the representation of pitta

Then, in the midst of all this transformation, of food into nutrients and all the function of getting these nutrients to the cells, all the movement, in the midst of that movement of that transformation, there's a principle, there's a quality, that brings stability in the midst of change

And that principle that brings stability, that nourishes your joints, that protects your heart, your lungs and that brings stability to all your cells

in the middle of the absorption of the food, of that nutrition, this principle is kapha, the principle of stability

And little by little as we are feeling, we can open our eyes

and in this way we can begin to recognize the enclaves and the main functions that the doshas have: vata, pitta and kapha, in our organism
