In this chapter you will learn how to make your own biofertilizer with accessible materials and resources. This biofertilizer or fermented fertilizer that we propose is composed of a base of soil microorganisms, water, minerals in different formats, ripe or dried fruit and molasses. A natural fertilizer that improves the quality of the soil, providing much more nutrients to the plants, and can also be used to prevent or combat certain diseases or the dreaded aphid infestations, which are often caused by the lack of molybdenum in the plant (an essential mineral to keep them healthy). It is made by anaerobic fermentation, that is, one that allows the gases generated during fermentation to be expelled, but without oxygen entering. Fermentation can last around 45-60 days.
