Hakomi is a body/mind method, fundamentally experiential, based on the use of Mindfulness for self-discovery. The method is based on the idea that "being conscious gives you the possibility to choose" and that our habitual behaviours are generated by beliefs, attitudes and past experiences that are mainly unconscious. By observing and becoming aware of those ideas that tell us how we have to live, how we have to relate to others and to the world, the possibility arises to make changes towards a healthier life and more satisfying relationships. The aim of the method is the reduction of unnecessary suffering.
