What is Reiki and what is it for?
Reiki (Rei means universal energy and Ki, vital energy) is a therapeutic technique of ancestral origin of millenary origin that was recovered and systematized in 1922 by the Japanese master Mikao Usui and that favors harmonization, healing and spiritual growth. It is based on the transfer of energy from one person to another (it can also be applied to oneself and other living beings such as animals and plants) through the laying on of hands on different parts of the body with the aim of promoting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance and alleviating various ailments or diseases. Reiki is based on the Hindu belief that the correct flow of Vital Energy through the different chakras promotes well-being and health.
