In this session we explain what a Reiki session would be like, its phases and treatment objectives.
Welcome back
During today we are going to see the most practical applications of Reiki
We're going to start by looking at what a Reiki session would be like, a Reiki treatment so that we can see what it's like
before we go to them
In a Reiki treatment, usually the patient is lying on the table
fully clothed, he/she does not have to take off any clothes
It is the therapist, the reikist who is going to start laying on hands
First of all it's essential that he asks permission from the receiver, from the patient that he asks for permission
to be able to give him Reiki
It happens a lot that in the first level of Reiki we are like crazy to give Reiki to everything
what we see around us, but it is necessary for the other person to be aware of that that energy is going to be received and give us the permission for it
It can happen in extreme situations that maybe the other person is unconscious
and that he is not able to give us this permission that we need
In that case the way to ask for permission will be like thanking spirit guides and asking for permission to the universe for the energy to come to that person
Once we have the actual person and their consent, as I was saying, it's going to be lying generally on a fully clothed stretcher, the therapist is going to start by sweeping the aura as if balancing that electromagnetic field that we talked about previously, once we has swept the aura, he will place the symbols that he considers necessary for that treatment
and we are going to begin with the laying on of hands
The laying on of hands can be done by directly touching the patient or perhaps placing it a few centimeters above the patient, especially in those areas a little more intimate areas such as the chest or genital area
Once we're in the actual treatment, the hand positions are some positions that over time have become systematized, which are some of the positions of the points energy points that come the best, but it is true that reiki is an energy that goes where it needs to go, it's an intelligent energy, so there is no wrong way either of giving reiki nor wrong positions of giving reiki
If the shin hurts and maybe the shin is not a specific reiki position it doesn't happen
nothing because we put our hands here, it's going to be fine and as I say reiki is going to arrive to those areas that need it the most
During the reiki treatment the therapist will of course try to be in a state of absolute meditation, very concentrated on what he is doing, if he is working with symbols, it's going to really become one with the symbol, it's going to try to mimic the symbol
symbol and he's going to be concentrating a lot on each of the postures that he's going to go into
putting his hands
It is a high meditative attitude in which he will also be coordinating his breathing
with the patient's breathing so that the vibrational system is all much more coordinated
As I was saying, while the session is developing, the therapist is very concentrated
in it, before finishing he is going to make again a sweeping of laura as trying to close this space of vibrational movement that we've generated and of course it's going to end
the session thanking the guides, thanking this universal wisdom that has been given to us, thanking the transmitted to us
Slowly we will inform the patient that his treatment is complete and that he can move around, come out of this state of relaxation a little bit more and get into a more relaxed state
to normal life
There are different nuances that each therapist likes to work with in one way or another, for example we can play a soft music that incites to relaxation or we can trust more on a totally silent treatment in which the breathing is the only rhythm
or the only stimulus we are receiving
It's also true that many therapists work with pendulums to be able to find the different vibrations of the energetic centers that we have, you can also work a lot with pendulums
with gems, with precious stones, we have to understand that these gems, these stones, these minerals have been really exposed to a lot of pressure from the earth, to a lot of vibrations of the earth and of course they accumulate energy within, so it's a good way to also to work with the Reiki, it would be like an extra tool that would help us to the balance that we are looking for, this does not mean that the laying on of hands is going to disappear, it simply means that we are going to use it as complements that are going to to guide us a little bit more in this treatment
The sessions usually last between 45 minutes, hour and a half, it depends a little bit on the therapist
you're working with and the time you're working with and the time you're working with, that it lasts longer
or less, it doesn't mean that it is more or less effective, we have seen that Reiki goes to where you are working
it has to reach and in the exact measure in which it has to reach
When would it be good for us to look for a Reiki therapist or a Reiki treatment? For me the clearest situation is situations where we are really very disturbed
in our head and we have such a level of stress that we would go like an elephant in a china shop, we do a lot of things but we do them all wrong, for me it's like the clearest sign
that probably that sacred space of relaxation and de-stressing would come to us could use a Reiki session
Of course it is also good in cases of chronic pain, cypromyalgia, migraines
emotions that we are not able to put in place, breakup processes as we have seen before, also processes in which there is a lot of change, maybe it's not so much the breakage but a new house or in the end it all comes down to that, that we feel a lot of restlessness internal, for me it would be like the clearest sign, if you feel internal restlessness probably a Reiki treatment would be wonderful for you
Then at the disease level, whatever you can think of, we can talk about diseases
more at the intestinal level, more at the level of tumors, cancers, we have already made it clear in other sessions that it's one more tool, one more complement, therefore to any disease or any imbalance that you can find in your body will benefit from a therapy, a Reiki treatment
Even though the treatment or therapy is good for us in many situations, I do that I would recommend in a very clear way that you are the one who learns to treat yourself, it is to say that in the end level 1 would be wonderful if we had it practically all of us
humans
Takata and Hayashi in their time worked a lot like that, they worked a lot relying on self-treatment
because really at the moment when you know yourself is when you can give yourself little doses and little pills of that energy that is probably a little bit more unbalanced
So what I mean by that is that even though an external treatment we can is always going to be wonderful for all of us, I'm the first one that a lot of times I'm going to that my colleagues to give me Reiki sessions, in spite of that I do trust a lot in that we as people learn a little bit how to treat ourselves and maybe we will be able to acquire the first level that will give us some basic notions to not only treat ourselves but also treat ourselves but to be able to help others
When we talk about helping others we talk about external treatment to other people, in the first level we already see a little bit of this, we can also see that since we are already talking about universal energy and vital energy, it's not only about working with people, we can also work with animals as well as with plants, with any living being that we can work with you can think of we are trying to balance those energy levels, it's going to be great for them, there are experiments that tried to demonstrate the benefits of Reiki and they talked a little bit about it
about this, about a plant that you don't give Reiki, a plant that you do and how over time it's you can see that the plant that is receiving Reiki is not only growing much faster but it is growing much stronger, much more lustrous, its fruits are stronger
In this sense as I'm saying we can apply it to plants, to people, to animals
and then I find it also very interesting to apply it to spaces, we are very used to it
to being in denser spaces that maybe we feel so much of their energy but we all we can recognize those moments when you walk into a place and we don't know what it is what it is but there is something that makes us feel uncomfortable
When the energy of a space is very overloaded because there have been discussions or because it is a dense working environment or for any other million reasons you could apply Reiki to these places in such a way that we are looking for a little bit of cleansing of that place and that the vibration of the place is optimal, is healthy, is positive and we feel like approaching it
to it
We're looking at a lot of different concepts both concepts that encompass everything that would be the dimensions of the human being and of the universal energy to go spinning every time a little bit finer which would be Reiki, we have seen also benefits, we have seen possible applications, we have seen what a treatment is like and now what I am going to propose to you is a very simple way in which we can start to explore how to align our own chakras
We remember that we don't have the proper initiation of level 1 but of course we can begin to explore with our own energy
For this essential that I always try to make very clear I think I have already commented a couple of times
of times, the breath becomes the bridge that connects our mind, our body, our mind and our body
and our spirit, when we feel that our mind is dancing all over the place or that there is a lack of coordination, that we don't feel balanced, concentrated and harmonic, the simple act of breathing in, being conscious of it and breathing out is like a union in the that we remind the brain that all of those dimensions that are out there each one a theirs are only to one, they're only one and we keep coming back to this, reminding it in a way very primary to our body and our mind that by breathing in we achieve body placement, heart, mind, spirit and that all be one
With a lot of emphasis on this because if we want to start self-treatment with chakras, self-treatment with chakras
with Reiki to experience how our chakras work, the breathing is going to be a fundamental tool that will allow us above all to concentrate and be able to be able to to perceive the sensations that we are receiving
So, to start talking a little bit about the chakra self-treatment, first of all that we would do is we're going to take three very deep breaths, we're going to try to make the exhale a little bit longer than the inhalation
Once you've taken these three breaths, we're going to start with the first posture at where we would bring both hands to the heart area, Anahata chakra
We're going to start with the hands in this place, we can stay for three to five minutes, you can you can also count it by breaths, but however it is, the important thing is that we perceive the great energy that we have in the chest, it would be like when we sing a goal that goes out like everything from the chest, so let's try a little bit to connect with that energy of expansion, that energy of openness, of being open to our heart to love and being loved
in spite of the pain
We would breathe a little bit in this position and what we're going to do next is we're going to place one of the hands on the manipura chakra and the other one on the throat area
In this way we would be treating the two chakras that are around the heart
and the same thing, here we can concentrate on both the importance of the trust that I have in myself as well as in the importance I give to expressing my own truth
We can also directly not meditate on any of this and simply stay with the breathing, inhaling and exhaling
We're also going to be three to five minutes
Then we're going to move to the next chakras, we would go to the second chakra and the third eye, to the anyi chakra, we can place our hands here, now I'm going to cover my eyes, you're not going to let's see but wow, the hand is on the third eye and here the same thing, we can reflect a little bit about the different energy centers or just relax and concentrate
on the breath
And finally we would close the chakras, we would close the flow of energy by placing a hand on the chakras
the crown of the head and the other on the root chakra area
Here we can still breathe, we hold three, five minutes, we observe sensations
what my body feels, what thoughts are going through my mind, we can observe everything this and once we have finished slowly we are going to sweep or clean a little bit our aura just kind of just kind of shake the dust off a little bit, like we can unload ourselves of energies in a symbolic way but that at the same time our electromagnetic field is being clean, we can clean arms, we can shake, shake head, anything you can think of
It's important that if we're going to shake it now that we don't shake it on the carpet
or on top of the bed but maybe in the bathroom or on top of the drain or on top of the maybe in the ground, in a flower pot, in a place where we know that energy is going away it's going to expand, it's going to come out of us but it's not going to stay there stored
Since we are giving so much importance to breathing, I also found it interesting
I would like to comment here a couple of breathing exercises that we can use to start with also to see how our energy works and how through the breathing we can connect with different parts of our person, of our being
One exercise that I find very interesting is Pranayama Chandra which is looking for a little bit of a is to cool down the temperature of the body, just like we talk about physical temperature we can talk a little bit about mental temperature or emotional temperature, that is for all of us
those moments in which we are anxious, nervous and we need to balance a little bit and looking for a machine part we would do this type of breathing
For this we're going to use our thumb to cover our right nostril, our fossa
to the right, we're going to use any of the other fingers, I use the two little fingers
to cover the left one, so what we're going to do is we're going to cover the right one we're going to to inhale through the left one, you can count how long it takes you to inhale, once you inhale through the left one, you can count how long it takes you to inhale, once you that you've finished the inhalation let's hold a few seconds here, it can be three seconds
and on the exhale we're going to do the opposite, we're going to cover the left one and we're going to exhale for the right one, once we have exhaled again we are going to hold
And we would start the cycle the same, that is chandra breath or chandra pranayama, inhale through the left, hold, exhale through the right, hold, inhale through the left, I hold, exhale through the right, this would be the cycle
We have the opposite breath, the other side, the yang side, this breath
is a more heat breath, surya pranayama or surya pranayama and we look for the opposite, we're looking for both warming the body and those times when we're more lazy, we have more laziness, we have a lower level of activation, also this breathing makes us more lazy
is going to help us to activate those energy levels
The procedure is exactly the same but in reverse, i
e
, this time what we are going to to do is to start inhaling on the right side, we are going to hold and we are going to exhale through the left, hold and start again, inhale through the right, hold, exhale through the left, hold, this would be the cycle
I would really encourage you to try both at different times when you think you might need to relax or when you think you may need to get active and see for yourself the benefits of the benefits that this type of breathing has
The best way to understand exactly what we're talking about and how this works is to understand the benefits of this type of breathing
therapy is for you to experience it in yourself, we have talked a lot about the importance of trusting in our teacher and to give him the necessary authority to follow his recommendations
with the full confidence that it is the best for us, but we cannot forget that our true master is inside us, I mean, in the end what we really want to be is going to teach us is to experience and experience and experience and experience and experience, it's very important that everything that we are interested in, not only Reiki, any other subject in this life, I am interested in I study it, I investigate it and that's when I can start to draw conclusions, when I've actually taken that subject into my life, I've experienced it in my own skin
By this I mean that of course the necessary authority must be given to the teacher, to the traditions that we want to learn, in this particular case, to the Reiki therapy, but in the end if you don't practice, if you don't really experience it, you are not going to be able to integrate in a holistic way, in a way where you understand all the phases of what would be this therapy itself, so I invite you very much to be at the point where you are, once you have received all this information you start experimenting with yourself, to observe your thoughts, to observe the language that you have with yourself, to observe how you treat others, to work on the five principles of Reiki, there is months of work there, and in this way you can little by little begin to enter into this therapy and get to know what it's all about
we are talking about exactly
