In the current era as in all time, people seek to be happy

The same in Vedic times of ancient India, for their science of health that is Ayurveda, it was called the search for soma, which is nothing more than the search for well-being and happiness

For this way of understanding the world, there are external somas that come from external stimuli and somas which are generally much more lasting and profound sources of well-being

In these current times of great technological and commercial intensity, there is a tendency to be permanently looking for sources external stimuli or somas as larger screens, with better quality, sound and speed, appear

But these improvements do not change the internal way of thinking or feeling, Unlike, they transform us into mere spectators, letting other people control our lives and on top of that, paying for it

Although technology is evolving wonderfully, the content displayed is still mostly subject to the same themes, violence, power, sex, feeling of superiority

In an environment of maximum competition to get attention these contents become more and more explicit, morbid and narratively fast, getting more addictive and moving further and further away from conceptual refinement that would allow us to obtain soma or substrate for our well-being

The ideals of power, beauty and conduct, are generated by waves or fashions by the media establishment and every time we find more complicated to approach them, for being more illusory generating an effect of non-acceptance and inner duality of which most people are not aware

This is leading us to a passive life increasingly removed from our body and our biology, where emotions are lived more in mental fantasies triggered by others and recreated by ourselves

Even when we travel we carry technological devices with us that allows us keep holding our virtual reality

More painful is watching as many parents stuff their children with a permanent consumption of screens, from very early ages, generating a habit very difficult to break in beings still very vulnerable, also deteriorating clearly your retinas

We already see more and more people starting an increasingly virtual life path, doing nothing to improve their lives, thus contributing to a great existential drama

We thus move further and further away from a natural reality, framing ourselves in a sense of identity and behavior increasingly virtual, that blind us to our true reality

We also believe that this has only just begun and the technological options to evade our being in the future, are going to become much more effective

The soma or source of true well-being, can only come out of our own interior and it is much more important than external stimulus

It is therefore important to cultivate introspective techniques such as yoga, meditation or breathing, to help us cultivate this source of well-being
