The length of a class

Description    

You must stay for 5 breaths in each posture to feel its benefits. Each breath should last 5 seconds, so each asana lasts about 25 seconds, which is the time needed to start feeling the benefits. A typical class is divided into 4 parts:

  • Sun salutations, which should last 15 minutes.
  • 15 minutes for standing asanas.
  • 1 full hour for seated series and final postures.
  • 15 minutes of savasana or final relaxation.
