In its early years Paganism and Christianity coexisted in harmony. In fact, many of the Christian traditions such as Easter and Christmas were established at the summer and winter solstices, coinciding with prominent festivals in ancient pagan traditions. The iconography of earlier beliefs was incorporated into Christianity and during Advent, Christ was compared to the sun as the light of the world, a clear example of the Apollonian attributes adapted to the current religion. In this episode we will delve into the subject from a historical and social context by the hand of our presenter Carla Sánchez.
