The main source of glucosamine is extracted from crustaceans (such as lobsters, shrimp or crabs) and arthropods but we find it in our body naturally. Our system produces small amounts of glucosamine to repair various damaged or weakened tissues. This, in turn, is responsible for creating a type of chain called glycosaminoglycans, known as GAGs, which are responsible for repairing the cartilage and joints of our skeleton.
