Religions are afraid to think - OSHO Talks Vol. 1

Description

This is the fourth part of the meditation dedicated to questioning one of the most common formulas of religions, namely, that humanity needs to be saved. Why does no one ask what is its origin, what are its implications? Linked to this idea is the belief in an original fall, a primordial sin or stain that needs to be cleansed and redeemed. However, Osho considers both premises to be erroneous and a source of confusion and suffering. According to Osho, the one who seduced Adam and Eve was God. It was God! Even without the Devil, I assure you that Adam and Eve would have eaten those fruits. The devil is not necessary: God has done the work by Himself. Sooner or later it would have been impossible to resist temptation. Why would God have prevented them? All efforts to make people obedient simply lead them to disobedience. Even Sigmund Freud knows more about psychology than your God, and Sigmund Freud is Jewish, right in the same tradition as Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve are the ancestors of the ancestors of their ancestors, but the same blood is flowing somewhere. Sigmund Freud is smarter; and in fact, it doesn't take much intelligence to understand a simple fact. In my childhood, in my neighborhood, lived the richest man in town. One day I was standing outside his fence, and he was saying something to his gardener. I said, Dada
