The question of what happened during the lost years of Jesus is practically unsolvable because Jesus did not call attention to anything at all until the moment of his manifestation as Messiah. The Apocryphal Gospels have shown enormous interest in knowing something about those lost years. Could Jesus have traveled to Egypt or India? Theoretically it is possible. The environment that we have of Jesus is 30 years and older and is purely Jewish, for example, we can hardly demonstrate in Jesus direct Greek influences because his thinking is strictly Jewish. There is no ancient document that testifies that Jesus was outside of Palestine.
