Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa means "movement synchronized with the breath". It consists of a series of asanas that transform the practitioner through the power of inhalation and exhalation. Vinyasa movements flow smoothly, sometimes emulating a dance, which is why it is also known as vinyasa yoga or flow yoga, which in English means "flow".
What are its benefits?
Like all styles of yoga, vinyasa has mental and physical benefits. Specifically, being one of the more physical styles, vinyasa helps develop strength and flexibility. In the classes it is very common to sweat, which allows to expel toxins and energize the body. Mentally, synchronized breathing helps to relax the mind and allows the energy of the chakras to flow throughout the body.

What are the classes like?
Vinyasa classes have a lot of movement. Typically, each session includes sun salutations and there are even some that are just in this sequence or its variations. Some classes can be much more difficult than others, but they are all energetic: the important thing is to know well the limits of your body and not to force it too much. In this sense, many teachers propose modifications to make the sequences more or less demanding, but in any case the movements must be synchronized with the breathing.
