Ayurvedic medicine has a marked holistic root, considering the human being as a whole and not as the sum of its parts, combining mind, body and spirit. Based on the ancient medicine practiced in India, Ayurveda has more than 5,000 years of history. A medicine that is based on the Vedas , the oldest wisdom texts in Indian literature and the basis of the disappeared Vedic religion (a religion prior to Hinduism).

The principles of his philosophy are governed by the theory of the five elements : air, fire, water, earth, ether (space) and by the doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

The three doshas or humors, constitute basic forces that interact and are present in the body of all people. Vata (air and ether) expresses the force of movement, Pitta (fire and water) that of transformation and Kapha (water and earth) that of stability and structure. The doshic constitution is the manifestation of the predominance of these forces in our being, representing a map of our strengths and weaknesses.

It is important to know that these three energies of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, manifest as forces that act in the organisms of all people. Depending on your predominant dosha, you will come to define your personal body constitution.

Knowledge of this body constitution is one of the pillars of Ayurveda since it enables us to design and execute balance plans with which to improve our quality of life.

The benefits of Ayurveda are multiple and thanks to Conscious TV you have the opportunity to learn more about this millenary legacy with our Ayurveda Course.
