A syrup to relieve respiratory conditions, such as cough, mucus, etc. Just as people in the countryside boiled mint, this will be the key to relieving your lungs of their ills.
Let's make a cough syrup
To relieve dry cough in periods when we have respiratory infections and they get complicated, for this we will use four plants that are: mullein, Pine, of the mullein we use the flowers, we use pine needles, we are going to use thyme leaves and the mint leaves that apart from being quite antiseptic will give us a delicious flavor to our syrup
We have already warming up half a liter of water and we are going to add one tablespoon of each of our plants
We add the mullein, Pine tree, the little thyme and mint
We already have our mix ready and we are going to add it to this pint of, half liter of water that has already started to boil
We turn off, we add our seedlings and we are going to let it rest for 5 minutes, normally the herbal teas let stand 2 minutes, 3 minutes but in this case because we want to make a syrup which is more concentrated that a tisane we are going to let it rest for 5 minutes
We have here 300 grams of infusion, to make a syrup what we add is the same weight of infusion that same amount of infusion we are going to add sugar, preferably brown sugar or panela and we are going to add it little by little and shaking
We have to take into account that there is not a single grain of sugar left
Shake it for a bit
The expiration is prepared is approximately one week but it's okay to always keep it in the fridge, take it out, take the amount that is necessary and put it back in the fridge
The usual dosage of syrups is 1 to 2 tablespoons three times a day for adults and for children half the dose
