Things are not how they start, but how they end. After a hard day it is very important to take some time before starting your sleep routine. Mentally review your day, think about where you could have done something to improve it, think about what you are going to change to make tomorrow a little better than today. If you haven't tried it yet, practice meditation to fall asleep, you will notice its effects quickly and it will improve your rest.
The first thing to do is to put on comfortable clothes and find a quiet and pleasant place where no one will disturb you. Light some candles and surround yourself with objects that give you good energy, disconnect your mobile phone and anything else that might interfere with your relaxation. The time has come to do the meditation session that best suits your mood.
Practising meditation has multiple benefits, and if you also practice yoga regularly and take care to eat a conscious and healthy diet, you will see how your life will be transformed. Meditation helps you to improve your life, to combat stress, to improve your health, to know yourself better and better and to see more clearly within yourself.
A good meditation session consists of 3 steps:
- Activate your body and eliminate tension: it is the first step towards deeper relaxation.
- Clear your mind: it helps you to focus on the good and eliminate negative thoughts.
- Connect with your spirit and calm your inner self: you will relax body and mind.
Once you have finished your meditation, you will feel how your rest is more pleasant and you will find it less difficult to fall asleep. Resting is essential to face the new day with energy and to be able to face everything that the day has in store for you. You can also do this routine in the morning, listen to your body and offer it what it needs most.
