What is Ashtanga Yoga?

It is one of the most popular styles of yoga practice, introduced by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 1975 (1915-2009). Its continuous practice will make you work physically and energetically. Ashtanga Yoga is for people who like a structured and challenging practice, with a continuous rhythm, without pauses. The postures and movements are fluid, practiced in series and always following the same sequence, closely linked to the breath.

Benefits of Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is good for those looking for a cardiovascular activity. Practitioners of this style move from one posture to another, along with each inhalation and exhalation.

The practice will get you in better physical shape, improve your coordination and know your physical limits. Through this physical practice you will get to know yourself, increase your limits and accept your limitations.

What is Mysore?

The term "Mysore Style" refers to the Indian city of Mysore, where the guru Sri K. Pattabhi Jois taught Ashtanga yoga for more than 60 years following this particular style.

Through the Conscious Television course you will learn the postures corresponding to series 1 and 2. You will internalize the sequence gradually from your first class, at your pace and level.

Our teacher Nita Miralles will give you the indications and adjustments for each asana. Gradually you will add new postures to your practice. It is a style of yoga that requires a daily or at least regular practice. Find the energy, balance and inner peace you are looking for.
