How do emotions affect our health?

You may think that your health is not intimately linked to your emotions, but the truth is that it is, and very much so.

In the following post we explain the relationship between "emotions and health" and how our programme "Open to emotions" will help you to feel better, to be calmer, to flow in every moment.

Everything we experience throughout our lives generates positive or negative feelings and this has an effect on us. A simple problem or worry carries with it an emotion that takes us away from fulfilment and makes us live in a more limited way.

At the organic level, everything tends to close down, so that the organs do not enjoy the space and good functioning they need.

With the asana work we propose, you will reduce the armour that presses on you and free your muscles and joints, as well as other physical structures that surround this area.

You need to experience physical freedom through your body to regain mental and emotional stability. Understanding the problem is key for the programme we offer to open the door to a state of full emotional wellbeing.

What is the intention of the work I am proposing to you?

In the programme "Opening to the emotions" you will find postures, exercises, breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation that are linked and carefully chosen to work the upper body as well as the lower body. Designed to reach the balance and emotional unblocking you need.

It is essential to feel, move, stretch, open these parts of the body to generate enough space to begin to feel the benefits in terms of mobilising the breath.

Awakening the muscles, joints, organs, tendons improves blood circulation and makes you free, relax and focus your mind.

When we work the diaphragm, shoulders, shoulder blades, we unblock accumulated tensions. Accessing spaces that generally, without the practice of yoga, you would not be able to reach.

What is the result of this programme for you?

  • You will achieve a wide, deep, calm breathing.
  • You will feel a sense of calm, tranquillity and space that will undoubtedly make you feel better.
  • Pelvis, lower back and hips, areas that are very sensitive to contracture due to accumulated internal tension, will feel lighter.

The mobility of the body is undoubtedly one of the most important things you need to feel in order to achieve fluidity. With movement you can unlock and release all parts of the body and feel fullness during and after your practice.

Just as important as movement is feeling connected to the emotions of well-being, joy and enjoyment. This will leave an indelible emotional imprint on your being.

  • Pranayama, breathing, is the most subtle part of yoga. A powerful routine to connect with the deepest part of yourself.

This may all sound far away but trust us, when you reach this state we want to bring you to, you will know what we are talking about. Be generous and allow yourself the time and space you need to FLOW.
